This is heritage cooking with a hearth, in every sense.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Story\"><\/span>The Story<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Founded in 2005 by the Alberta Indian Investment Corporation, Homefire Grill set out to prove that a restaurant could honour its homeland&#8217;s first foods and still be everyone&#8217;s neighbourhood favourite. The kitchen built itself around fire \u2014 rotisserie and a fire-roasted oven behind an open pass \u2014 and around a principle: use every part of the bison, waste nothing, feed generously.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_to_Order\"><\/span>What to Order<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The bison burger with saskatoon relish has become the house classic, while the elk soup and bison stew carry the deepest comfort. From the fire-roasted oven, the Carnivore pizza \u2014 pepperoni with ground elk \u2014 bridges familiar and new, and the bannock belongs on every table.
